ANOTHER NOTABLE ANNIVERSARY
As we embark on March 27th next week. We will land on the anniversary of another significant natural disaster anniversary. This time it is the 53rd anniversary of the Great Alaskan earthquake, the largest (M9.2) recorded earthquake in U.S. history and second largest in world history. It occurred on March 27, 1964 and was a massive earthquake followed by a tsunami that reached the shores of Washington, Oregon and Hawaii.

To be noted, the magnitude of this earthquake is within the range predicted for our coastal Cascadia subduction zone threat. Experts say that it is not a matter to if, rather when will this event occur.
