If you are frying food, it is particularly important to stay with your food to avoid grease fires! If you do experience a fire and safe to do so, place a lid or cookie sheet over the pot/pan and extinguish the heat source. Keep the lid on the pot/pan until cool. If it is unsafe to extinguish the fire, evacuate immediately and call 911 from a safe distance. We hope you have a safe and enjoyable Christmas, for those of you that practice, and for those that don't keep these tips in mind while cooking your winter wonders!
